Extended Day
The Rashi Extended Day Program is designed to offer families exceptional after-school child care with an enrichment component.
Children in grades K-8 enjoy a wonderful nurturing environment where they are able to take advantage of many different programs. Children who are enrolled in Extended Day begin the program at 3:00 p.m. by settling down for a snack and friendly circle time. At 3:15 children who have signed up for a special elective are taken to the activity and returned to the Extended Day area at the end of the activity. Children in Extended Day have many opportunities to play and use their time productively in a supportive environment. Some of these activities may be: outdoor play (including team sports), supervised homework time, arts and crafts and cooking.
Extended Day Hours
Mondays - Thursdays, 3:00 - 6:00 p.m.
Extended Day Electives
The electives are an important component of extended day. Available electives this year are drama, karate, science – robotics, simple machines, Mad Science; chess, creative movement, art, yoga, band, music and movement, and sports – soccer, football, ultimate Frisbee. We also offer private piano, guitar, and violin lessons. The Extended Day program is always looking to expand its elective options based on student interest.
