The Spanish curriculum emphasizes all four language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Students’ first exposure to Spanish at Rashi is in the seventh grade. Seventh and eighth grade Spanish equates to one full year of language study at the introductory level. Both grammar and Spanish-speaking cultures are presented and practiced through the use of music (recorded and live), videos, games, props and various printed media including newspapers, magazines, the textbook and the workbook. The goal is for students to achieve a basic level of communication in Spanish by the time they graduate.
