ACTIVITIES

Community Building

Yachad sponsors community building programs throughout the year including welcoming newcomers to our community, providing support to our faculty and staff, and planning Rashi community events. Some highlights include parent socials, Shabbat dinners, Creative Arts, Jewish celebrations and Yachad meetings.

Creative Arts

Yachad brings Creative Arts programming to students at each grade level. Programming is carefully selected with the classroom teachers to engage and stimulate students.

Past programs have included: Eyes on Owls, Insect Friends, World Rhythms, Brass Quintet, Fossils and Dinosaurs, Pyramids and Pharoahs, Charles River, and trips to the Science Discovery Museum and the Newton History Museum.

For more information, please contact Elaine Paster.

Jewish Celebrations

In keeping with the core value of limud (learning), Yachad sponsors Jewish holiday celebrations throughout the year. Yachad is continually creating unique programs that will highlight customs and practices used by Jewish people from all over the world. These events enable each Rashi student to experience the holidays by participating in age appropriate activities which enrich each child academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. Events are listed on the School Calendar. Parent volunteers are always needed. To help, please contact Kathy Cohen or Laurie Gold.

Yachad Meetings

Please refer to the School Calendar for information on upcoming meetings. All Rashi parents and guardians are members of Yachad and are encouraged to attend our meetings and programs.
