Yachad is Rashi’s parent teacher organization. The Hebrew word Yachad means together. Together, in keeping with Rashi’s core values, we celebrate Jewish holidays, provide Creative Arts programming in the classroom, show our immense appreciation to the Rashi faculty and staff, hold meetings on topics of interest to our parent body, and much more.
In order to provide these programs and activities, Yachad is responsible for a number of fundraisers throughout the school year including the Sally Foster Gift Wrap, Scholastic Book Fair and pizza lunch. We also spend a great deal of time partnering with other committees in the school such as Family Education and Core Values to help enhance the life of the Rashi kehillah (community).
There is no membership fee to be a part of Yachad and the Rashi Kehillah. All you have to do is show up!!
We encourage parents to volunteer to be a room parent, help with the book fair or classroom holiday project, clip box tops, serve pizza lunch, or assist with a Jewish celebrations program.
We look forward to seeing parents at Rashi and we are always available to answer any questions parents might have.
Together we will keep the ruach (spirit) in Yachad and in Rashi.
