WELCOME TO YACHAD
Yachad, meaning “together” in Hebrew, is Rashi’s parent organization. The mission of Yachad is to support Rashi's teachers, parents and administrators by strengthening the Rashi kehillah (community). In keeping with Rashi’s core values, Yachad uses the funds it raises for: creative enrichment for Rashi students, community building, a user-friendly parent directory, eighth grade graduation activities, parent education, volunteer and staff appreciation as well as many other programs. Yachad also coordinates all of the room parents as core leaders of the school and pairs new families with existing families to create a whole and integrated community.
In order to offer these programs and activities, Yachad raises funds by providing services such as Pizza Thursday, Challah delivery, Picture Day, the Book Fair, and Gift card sales.
Yachad also spends a great deal of time partnering with other departments in the school such as Development, Admissions, and Jewish Studies to help enhance the life of the Rashi kehillah (community).
Every parent is a member of Yachad; we have no dues or membership fees.
Yachad has numerous volunteer opportunities with varying time commitments where parents can meet each other, support our school and have fun. Anyone who is interested should contact the Yachad co-chairs who will be able to help match parents' interests and skills with Yachad's needs. All parents are encouraged to participate in Yachad on whatever level they are able and to be active members of our kehillah.
Together, parents can keep the ruach (spirit) in Yachad and in Rashi!
