Annual Appeal

The Annual Appeal is the primary vehicle for financially supporting the daily programs and operations at Rashi.

Tuition revenues plus funding received from Combined Jewish Philanthropies do not cover all our costs. Like virtually all independent schools, Rashi depends on support from current and alumni parents and grandparents along with friends in the extended community to meet the school’s operating expenses.

Gifts made to the Annual Appeal have a direct impact on the everyday lives of Rashi students and are used for such items as: to help pay for competitive salaries to attract the best teachers; to maintain and increase the school’s collection of books, audiovisual equipment and computer workstations, and much more. Unrestricted gifts made to the Annual Appeal afford Rashi’s leadership the flexibility to take advantage of unexpected opportunities and address unforeseen challenges as they emerge during the year.

In addition to unsolicited gifts, contributions may be made in response to a mailing, attendance at an event or the purchase of an ad in the spring Annual Dinner tribute book.

Individual financial circumstances vary tremendously and annual gifts range from $18 to well over $18,000. The school has established Recognition Levels that correspond to different levels of giving, each with associated benefits.  Although everyone must come to a personal decision as to a specific amount to give, we hope that Rashi families and friends will make the school a philanthropic priority.
