Throughout the school year, Rashi offers Curious Minds: Free Programs for Preschoolers and their Grown-ups. These programs for your preschooler are educational and entertaining and a great way to become more familiar with us and the school. Most programs are held at Rashi and presented by Rashi faculty.

Caregivers and grandparents are welcome. Please join us and bring your friends.

Curious Minds: Mike the Bubble Man

Through music, choreography, and comedy, bubbles -- in all shapes and sizes -- come alive, sparking imagination and wonder. Stick around for our Information Session!

Highlights from Curious Minds

Barn Babies

Curious Minds spent the morning with baby animals! We got up close and personal with baby goats, piglets, puppies, kittens, bunnies, chicks, and more!
Savvy Scientists

We called all scientists to put on their lab coats for hands-on investigations of the science all around us!
Bubbles, Bubbles, Bubbles!

Mike the Bubble Man brought the magic of science to Rashi with music, choreography, and comedy. A few lucky kids found out how the world looks from the inside of a bubble! Children and parents alike were enthralled as they discovered the shapes, color, and chemistry of bubbles.
Construction: What Can You Build?

We called all builders! They put on their hard hats and had a blast with our kindergarten teachers as we explored the world of construction. It was loads of fun! Can you dig it?
Curious Minds Goes to Jamaica Plain: Bang a Drum

Don't miss a beat! Master drummer Tony Fonseca's drum circle was an opportunity to beat, rattle and roll with drums, shakers, tambourines, bells, and blocks. We loved making music with our friends from All Hands Drumming!
Hibernation: Animals in Winter

Young naturalists were invited to join Puddlestompers at Rashi to find out how animals and plants survive the cold and adapt to winter. Our program started indoors with a craft and moved outdoors to explore. Take that, snow!
Let's Get Ready for Passover

We offered the opportunity for parents to engage their children in the Passover preparations as together they decorated their own 'uniquely yours' ceramic seder plate. The Passover story came alive as we heard it told in words and song. Kids sang their favorite songs and learned some new ones!
Meet and Touch The Animals

We enjoyed this special opportunity to get up close and personal with a variety of exotic animals. Our Animal Adventures guides introduced us to gentle mammals, amphibians, reptiles, and bugs and shared stories and fun facts about them. Controlled petting and touching was encouraged!
Random Effects Magic Show

We hosted a fun-filled interactive program with Matt Graham, the official magician of the Boston Red Sox. Parents and children alike were amazed the minute they walked through the door!
Stacey Peasley and Her Band

Curious Minds sang, danced, stomped their feet with Stacey Peasley and her band, winners of the Child Magazine 2012 Top CD of the year award and the 2010 Nickelodeon Parents Connect Pick. We hope you didn’t miss this exciting show!
Tu B'Shevat: How Does Your Garden Grow?

We held a birthday party for the trees! While celebrating and learning about trees and nature, we enjoyed hands-on activities and songs. Even birthday cake was served!
