Critical Minds, Compassionate Hearts

How to Apply

We currently have a few openings at The Rashi School. If you are interested in applying for admission for the 2018-19 school year, please contact our office 781-355-7317 or

Step 1: Learn More About Rashi

We encourage you to gather as much information as you can about Rashi so that you can evaluate whether it is a good fit for your child and your family. We invite you to request an information packet, attend an admissions information session, join us at a Curious Minds program for preschoolers or to talk to current Rashi parents.

Step 2: Schedule a Tour

Schedule a tour to get a comprehensive overview of our facilities and classes while they are in session. Tours allow for in-depth conversations about what you are looking for in a school.

Step 3: Apply by February 1

You will be asked to upload or mail a photo of your child, a copy of your child's birth certificate, and submit a $100 application fee by credit card. Applications are accepted after this deadline on a space-available basis. Paper applications are available upon request. Email

Step 4: Submit Supporting Materials

Print and provide to your child's teacher(s) the appropriate AISNE student evaluation forms along with a stamped envelope addressed to:

The Rashi School
8000 Great Meadow Road

Print and complete the Authorization for Release of Transcript forms and give to your child's school, granting permission to the school to send us your child's most recent progress report (see forms on the right).

Step 5: Apply for Financial Aid by February 10

Apply for Rashi’s Financial Aid by February 10
Rashi grants financial aid to approximately 30% of enrolled students on the basis of demonstrated financial need. Amounts range from $1000 to 80% of tuition.

Apply for Discover Day School Tuition Assistance from CJP by March 13
In an effort to make Jewish day school education more accessible to families, Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP) offers its Discover Day School program. This incentive program is in lieu of financial assistance from the school. Learn more about our Financial Aid Process.

Step 6: Schedule A Student Visit

Upon receiving a completed application, the Admissions Office will contact you to schedule a one-hour playgroup screening for your kindergartner or day visit for transfer students.
