Rebecca Scharfstein, Class of 2004 | 2013 Tikkun Alum Award Recipient
"How do we, as seventh graders, interact with those less fortunate?"
Rebecca Scharfstein is a MBA/MPP Joint Degree Candidate at Harvard Business School and the Harvard Kennedy School. This past summer, Rebecca helped build and launch the Office of Performance & Innovation at the California Department of Justice, an office dedicated to bringing private sector best practices to government initiatives. Prior to graduate school, Rebecca was the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Pasand, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that develops and facilitates transformative personal health and wellness education for adolescents in South India and beyond. She currently serves as Pasand Board Chair. Previously, Rebecca also worked as a senior analyst at Analysis Group, a Boston-based economic and litigation consulting firm. Rebecca graduated from The Rashi School in 2004. She graduated from Brookline High School in 2008 and received an A.B. in Public and International Affairs from Princeton University in 2012. This is Rebecca’s third year serving on the Rashi Board of Trustees, and she also serves as co-chair of the Alumni Association alongside Perry Wallack.
