One of the factors considered when choosing an organization for the Rashi Purim Tamchui project is the impact that a donation from our fund might have. For the kids in Boston who benefit from having free, new clothes to wear when they need it, Rashi's work with Catie's Closet meant a world of difference. Below is a thank you note from Catie's Closet's Executive Director, Mickey Cockrell.
Each year, we ask members of our kehillah (community) to contribute to the Rashi Purim Tamchui Fund, which is a fund collected especially for our students to allocate, according to their choosing, between our five honored organizations.
Some of our Grade 8 students had the opportunity to interview the Tamchui Representatives as part of Education Week. The representatives spent the day talking to students, discussing their organization and inspiring all they met.
