Rashi families are part of many communities: a school community, a Greater Boston community, a Jewish community, and a world community.
Rashi builds bridges and maintains strong partnerships with organizations that deepen the impact of all aspects of students’ Rashi experiences. Our collaborations enrich student learning, activism, leadership, and Jewish identity.
Jewish Community
The Rashi School actively participates in the diverse landscape of local, national, and international organizations that are committed to renewing and inspiring Jewish community. We see synergies between the work that many synagogues and Jewish community organizations are doing to spark Jewish connections and actively make links to create a meaningful experience for our families.
Our longstanding relationship with CJP allows us to collaborate on funding, transportation, and technology to strengthen the student experience.
Rashi often hosts events for organizations such as Israel Bonds to support Israel, CJP to inspire and mobilize the Jewish community, and Gateways to include students of all abilities in Jewish life. Hosting these organizations provides rich experiences for our families and the broader public.

To create a more inclusive school environment, Rashi faculty partner with organizations including Keshet around the full inclusion of all LBGTQ+ Jews and their families in Jewish life and the Anti Defamation League to fight antisemitism and hate.

Student Leadership
As Rashi students develop their leadership voices, local organizations are laboratories for experimenting with ideas, and uniting with others around causes that matter to them.
- Each year, middle schoolers join 1,000 middle and high school students from a variety of backgrounds to participate in student-led workshops on issues of bias and diversity through the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). Rashi students have embraced this training and have brought this passion and learning back to our community, becoming ambassadors of this work.
- Through Facing History and Ourselves, students from The Rashi School and Epiphany school meet together five times a year for shared learning. This program links Rashi students with Epiphany students to share their experiences, understand a different perspective, and join in friendship and learning.
Academic Competitions
Rashi helps students see their academic studies as something that goes beyond Rashi’s walls. Rashi partners with local associations for students to share their learning and collaborate across multiple schools. Rashi students participate in The Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild, often earning recognition for their onstage performances, tech and set design amongst peer schools. Rashi students participate in The Mathematical Olympiads for Elementary and Middle Schools (MOEMS), an international organization that tests nearly 170,000 participants from 6,000 teams worldwide.
Dedham
Rashi leverages the resources and expertise of businesses and agencies that are in our own backyard as we make connections between the classroom and the community. Rashi has participated in Dedham Trails Day, a family friendly festival featuring environmental, health and outdoor vendors, as well as kid friendly activities such as face painting, bouncy house, arts and crafts. Each year, Rashi middle schoolers participate in the Jewish Coalition for Literacy (JCL) elective, serving as reading buddies and mentors to students at a local public school in Dedham. After learning about author Peter Reynolds, Grade 2 students visited his bookstore in Dedham, The Blue Bunny, to meet him.
Preschools
Students join Rashi’s Kindergarten from over 50 preschools, both Jewish and non-sectarian. We see these preschools as an extension of our community, inviting preschool educators into our classrooms, taking Rashi lessons on the road to the preschools, and partnering with preschool educators to make the transition to Rashi seamless. We collaborate with schools through hosting professional lectures at the Rashi campus, and bringing programming to area preschools and centers.
