“Any person, no matter how young or how senior, can make change, and today, they were big change makers.”
We were so excited to have WCVB Channel 5 and the Boston Globe on campus recently! The media visited Rashi to cover our Kindergarten Fairness and Equality March, a joyful annual tradition that draws on lessons about visible and invisible identity. Kindergartners celebrated Black History Month by parading through the building and expressing their roles in creating a more peaceful community. “[The march] was about fairness and making peace for everybody,” one of the children told Channel 5. The entire Rashi student body, faculty and staff came together to cheer them on, as they sang their way through the halls, signs held high.
